After 11 idyllic years living in the quaint, historic island village of Mitarai in the Seto Inland Sea, we moved to Devon, UK, where Tom's family has roots stretching back generations.
With our unique situation with personal and cultural ties to both the UK and Japan, we believe we have the tools to help bridge that gap and bring these two cultures closer together. We want to help Japanese companies and visitors make the most of their plans in the UK and Europe, while connecting British companies and travellers with the best Japan (especially rural Japan) has to offer.

We spent 11 years living in a small historical harbour village of Mitarai in Osaki Shimojima. The community spirit, the warm and welcoming locals, the beautiful scenery, delicious ingredients and the rich history of the Seto Inland Sea make Mitarai unique, even in such a unique country like Japan.
We are still connected with our friends on the island and consult with them to create, unique, bespoke travel experiences. High-end dining, insider tours and experiences that would otherwise be impossible to arrange. This really is the behind-the-scenes, immersive experience that is only possible because we used to live in this community ourselves.
About Us
Tom Miyagawa Coulton
With mixed heritage, Tom spent his formative years in the UK, but in total, he has split his time equally between Japan and the UK.
With family and cultural ties to each country and fluent in Japanese, Tom is ideally placed to advise and connect your plans.
Trained and worked as a photographer, he set up media content creation company, Island Pictures LLC in Japan, before establishing Seto Ltd in the UK.
He has experience working in core roles inside large-scale projects, including Rugby World Cup Japan 2019 and game development photogrammetry for a leading global game developer.
Mai Miyagawa
Mai brings her extensive knowledge of Japanese culture and travel to help you navigate the best experiences in Japan.
With experience in the hotel industry and Japanese media, Mai can combine her native experiences with XXX
She worked as the rural revitalisation officer for Osaki Shimojima Island, Kure City for three years, where she helped develop an octogenerian's homemade marmalade. Helping her to win an award at the world marmalade awards and subsequently make her brand sought-after throughout Japan.
Mai's personal touch and ability to get along with everyone, makes her the key to helping you unlock the secrets of the Japan.
